Kenneth's visa had expired in March, 2016, and he was staying in the country illegally. The Bengaluru Police have been tracking down Africans, whose visa has expired.

The police found out about Kenneth's activities and apprehended him red-handed when he was selling cocaine to customers near Anandapura Circle in KR Puram. The police have registered a case against the duo under the Narcotics, Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
