Topic: In The Beginning
Text: Joel 2:25-27, John 1:1-3 & 14
In the beginning all was good, it moves from good to very good - Gen. 1:31
He blessed man - Gen. 1:28 - Command blessing on man. He gave them good accommodation - Gen.2:8-9
Man have in Abundant - Gen. 2: 10-12
He gave man enough mental capacity to name animals without being to school - Gen: 2:9-20.
When Sin came in - Gen.3: 1- 6
Several things follow:
Shame (Gen.3:7)
Fear (Gen.3:8 - 10)
Curses (Gen. 3: 6 - 19)
Sorrow, Hard Labour, Death
Homeless (Gen. 3:24)
Sin a terrible thing.
Gen. 3:15 - In Justice He remember mercy
Rev.1:8, Gen.1:1, John 1:1 - There are two beginnings:
i. Jesus is the beginning of all beginnings
ii. 2 Cor. 5:17 - A brand new beginning
Mathew 1:21, 1John 1:7 - No restoration until Sin is removed.
Section B
He was there before you were formed.
(Jeremiah 1:4-5, Isaiah 64:8, Jeremiah 18:1 - 4)
"Father, whatever that is wrong with my system, correct it tonight"
He was there before your Mountains
(Psalm 90:1-2, John 11:1-4, Mark 11:22 -23)
"Father, in the mighty name of Jesus I command every mountain in my life move tonight"
He was there before your Barrenness.
(Gen. 28:31, 30:1-2, 22-24)
"Father, in the mighty name of Jesus put an end to fruitless effort in my life."
He was there before your Storm.
(Isaiah 43:1-2, Mark 4:35-41)
"Father every storm in my life turn it to testimony!"
Because Jesus was there at the beginning, He can restore all your losses:
(Galatians 3:13 - 14
Curses to Blessing
Hard labour to Rest - Mathew 11:28
Fear to Faith - John 14:1
Shame to Glory - Colossians 1:27
Loneliness to Fellowship
Word of Warning:
Hebrews 10:26 - 29, 2 Peter 2:20 - 22
"Father, whatever that will make me loss again, please Lord don't let me ever do it again!"
